Venusian Glamour Bath: A Sacred Pause to Honor Beauty, Love & Self

Updated: Apr 6

Inspired by a ritual from Michael Herkes in Llewellyn’s Witches’ Calendar 2025

When was the last time you did something just because it was beautiful? Not out of obligation. Not because someone needed you. But simply to honor yourself… your joy, your softness, your magic?

Last Friday (4/4) - Venus Day - I did just that.

I felt called to take a Venusian Glamour Bath, inspired by a ritual I found in Llewellyn’s Witches’ Calendar 2025, written by the enchanting Michael Herkes. The moment I read it, my whole body said yes.

So, I made space.

Even though there were plenty of other things that “needed” tending to, I chose to pause. To return to beauty. To remember that tending to myself - my pleasure, my spirit - is not a luxury... it’s a non-negotiable. And it should be for everyone.

The Ritual Ingredients:

  • Pink candle, anointed with rose oil

  • Pink rose petals

  • Rose quartz

  • Milk (I used strawberry milk for that extra Venusian touch!)

  • Powdered honey & colloidal oatmeal (for softening and sweetness)

  • Rose essential oil

  • A libation of choice (mine: locally made Cranberry Wine)

  • 417Hz sound healing music (to restore the feminine frequency)

  • Gold-infused face mask (because… abundance)

As the bath filled, I invited my son Sam to help prepare it. He loved plucking the petals and pouring in the pink milk. I used the moment to teach him something simple but powerful - how to offer love through small, meaningful gestures. Someday, when he draws a bath for someone he loves, I hope he remembers this moment.

And then… I sank in.

With rose quartz at my chest and soft petals swirling around me, I breathed deeply and gave myself permission to receive. To celebrate my recent accomplishments. To rest in the energy of beauty, softness, and becoming.

Why This Matters

This wasn’t just a bath. It was a reclamation.

Because there are consequences to moving through life too fast. Too robotically. Too detached from meaning.

Eventually, the body speaks. The heart hardens. The spark dims.

But, Beauty? Pleasure? Ritual?

They bring us back to life.

If you’ve been running on empty, waiting for the “right” time to rest or celebrate - you don’t need to wait. You just need a moment of willingness.

Create beauty. Let it hold you. Even if it’s just lighting a candle or pausing to breathe.

Your body, your soul, your whole being will thank you.
